The City of Great Bend Public Works Department will close Baker Avenue at the intersection of 18th Street for storm sewer repairs. The repair work will require the closing of Baker at the 18th Street intersection starting Oct. 8. It will reopen once repairs are completed.

The City of Great Bend Public Works Department apologizes for any inconvenience created during this repair. Motorists are asked to be patient as city employees work diligently to make Great Bend a better place to live and work. Use care and think ahead when driving through the work zone. 

Remember to obey the posted speed limits and other regulatory signing; maintain a steady speed; leave room between yourself and other vehicles; be aware of road conditions in front of you; and anticipate the need to stop or reduce speed substantially.
