The Barton Community College theater department has announced auditions for its upcoming production of William Inge’s play “Bus Stop,” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Those auditioning are asked to prepare a small monologue.
The play is set in a diner about 30 miles west of Kansas City in early March 1955. An unexpected blizzard sidelines a bus, and its passengers are the victims of a lengthy layover that provides a perfect opportunity for an intriguing drama with a dash of comedy and romance.
Roles will be cast for five men and three women. Auditions are open to the public. The play will be performed Sept. 27-28 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
