Barton County Commission agenda, May 31, 2023

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, in Room 106 at the Barton County Courthouse. Commissioners may be there from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the agenda meeting starts at 9. The agenda portion of the day will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. The commission will consider a resolution transferring and carrying over unexpended funds from 2022 to the Capital Improvement and Equipment Replacement funds.

The agenda adds that any commissioner may make a motion for the board to recess to executive session as allowed by the Kansas Open Meetings Act.

Immediately following the close of the agenda meeting, estimated to be around 9:30 a.m., the commission will meet as the Governing Board of Fire District No. 1.

The Central Kansas Community Corrections Advisory Board will meet at noon at the Barton County Office Building, 1806 12th St., and elected officials may attend that meeting.

Other appointments are scheduled with estimated times:

• 9:45 a.m. - Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) No Passing Zone Project Selection and Road Agreement for Transmission Lines, discussion with County Engineer Barry McManaman.

• 10:30 a.m. - HVAC move update, at 1500 Kansas Ave., with Mark Bitter.

• 11 a.m. - Regular business discussion with County Administrator Matt Patzner.
