The Barton County Health Department announced plans to update its operating hours to better serve the community. Beginning Monday, Sept. 30, the new schedule will be:

• Monday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Tuesday through Thursday - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Friday - 8 a.m. to noon

Customers should note that the office will be closed daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

These extended hours mean more opportunities for the public to access the services needed outside of regular working hours, according to a news release.

“Whether it’s scheduling an appointment, getting important vaccinations, or seeking health information, we are committed to being here when you need us most.

“As your Barton County Health Department, we are proud to serve you with care and dedication. We understand that life is busy and we want to make it easier for you to prioritize your health. Our team is here, ready to assist you with a wide range of health services, no matter your schedule.”
