The only item of business on the agenda of a special board of trustees meeting Tuesday at Barton Community College is an executive session. The meeting will start at 4 p.m. in Room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building on campus and via Zoom. After a call to order and the Pledge of Allegiance, Board Chairman Mike Johnson will entertain a motion for the board to recess to the closed session in compliance with the Kansas Open Meetings Act. Under KOMA, the motion must contain a statement providing the justification for closure, the subject(s) to be discussed, and the time and place the open meeting will resume.
The public may join the Zoom Meeting online at https://zoom.us/j/786098311. Anyone who attends via Zoom is asked to sign in using his or her first and last name.
The monthly board study session will follow the special meeting and may also be joined via Zoom. Items on the agenda are the March financial statement, a preliminary budget assessment for Fiscal Year 2021, faculty contract review and a report on Barton’s COVID-19 response status.
