Childcare professionals will be encouraged to “Sample The Blue Ribbon Offerings” at Barton Community College’s Child Education Fair on April 28.
The all-day event starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28 in the Student Union. This learning event is developed for childcare center and preschool personnel, family day-care providers, elementary teachers and students enrolled in a childcare curriculum.
The fair will host several activities including a keynote speech by the owner of Make a Difference Training and Consultation Beth Reeder, breakout sessions covering a variety of child-care and education topics, and a closing certificate presentation ceremony.
Reeder’s keynote speech entitled “The Best Exercise Is…,” will discuss the benefits of incorporating physical activity into daily education practices and exercises for children.
In addition, vendors will display a variety of products and services during the fair. There will also be a Blue Ribbon Cookie Contest in which attendees can bring a plate of homemade cookies for a chance at prizes.
Registration fee for participants is $69. The fee includes one-half hour of college credit, materials, lunch and refreshments. Participants will also earn 7.5 contact hours in continuing education.
Exhibitor space is also still available.
