Blood drive volunteers needed

Volunteers In Action and the American Red Cross are looking for volunteers to help with the local blood drive coming up on May 19 at St. Rose Auditorium. Jobs include checking in donors, escorting, and preparing and serving a light meal.
Each job has two shifts, first shift from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and second shift from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“This worthwhile opportunity allows the Red Cross to utilize their staff in the collection of the life giving gift of blood,” said VIA Volunteer Coordinator Linn Hogg. In turn, that blood can be separated into four individual components that could save multiple lives.
