Bond election, computer purchase on USD 428 agenda

Terry Wiggers, senior vice president of SJCF Architecture, will present information regarding a spring bond election when the Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road. The board will also be asked to approve desktop and laptop computer purchases for teacher use, with a total expenditure of $171,524.

The board will have its first reading of a policy revision on investment of funds and its second reading of next year’s Program of Studies Book for GBHS, which it will be asked to approve.

Superintendent Khris Thexton will discuss lighting at Great Bend High School’s Memorial Stadium and provide details of an estimate for an energy-efficient upgrade.

An executive session to discuss an individual employee’s performance is also on the agenda.
