Burglars caught after fleeing police

According to the Great Bend Police Department, on Friday at approximately 11 a.m., Great Bend Police Officers were dispatched to 2222 Jackson St. in reference to a burglary in progress.
While officers were responding to the residence, two male subjects left in a silver colored car.
A police detective was in the area and spotted the car. He attempted to perform a traffic stop, but the subjects refused to stop. A short distance later, the subjects stopped in the 1100 block of Stone Street and fled on foot.
They were both apprehended a short time later by Great Bend Police Officers and taken into custody.
Both subjects were in possession of marijuana at the time of the arrests.
Property which was identified as being stolen from 2222 Jackson St., was recovered inside the vehicle. Additional marijuana was also located inside the vehicle and collected as evidence.
D’Quintis Rideaux and Jeremy Hood were booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of fleeing and eluding, obstruction of justice, burglary, and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Their bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
