LARNED — The 2019 Tired Iron Show happening at the Santa Fe Trail Center grounds in Larned opened Saturday, with a full slate of activities.

The show continues today, with a memorial fly-over to honor Larry Carr scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning to coincide with the Parade of Power. Carr, who died Sept. 17, served on the board of the SFTC and served on the Tired Iron Show committee from its start 19 years ago.

Wood craft and sawmill demonstrations, anvil shooting, historical programs, games and activities for kids and the annual tractor pull competition are just some of what is in store. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission this year is a freewill donation towards the museum’s HVAC system.
