Central Plains Middle School would like to recognize Monica Short and Matthew Donecker as the September Students of the Month.
Monica is the daughter of Claude and Gayla Short.  She has two brothers, Garrett and Brady.    
Monica is currently playing volleyball and plans to participate in basketball.  Her favorite subjects in school are science and math.  When asked what she likes best about school, she replied, “Getting to see my friends.”
Mrs. Dohrman nominated Monica and stated, “Monica always puts forth her best effort and she does it with a 100-watt smile.  She has a great work ethic and attitude.”    
Matthew is the son of Kevin and Elaine Donecker and has two sisters, Julie and Melissa.  Matthew participates in football and band and plans to play basketball and be a part of the track team.  When asked what he likes best about school, he stated, “Learning something new every day and being with my friends.”  His favorite subjects are band and Ag.  
Mrs. Heitschmidt nominated Matthew and commented, “Matt is an outstanding student, but that’s not what qualifies him for student of the month.  Every day you’ll see Matt working with others, helping them out, whether or not it’s going to benefit him.  In the process he is always cheerful and kind, as well.  Much appreciated Matt.”
The administration congratulates Monica and Matthew for being selected as the CPMS Students of the Month.
