An inflatable planetarium from Fort Hays State University will be set up at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center for a preview of the 2015 Perseids Meteor Shower. The free program will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the KWEC on K-156.
Participants will explore the skies above Kansas as part of this month’s Cheyenne Bottoms Naturalists Club meeting, said KWEC Educator Jean Aycock. The program will take place inside the FHSU Science and Math Education Institute’s inflatable planetarium.
Cheyenne Bottoms Naturalists is an opportunity for adults and interested teens to learn more about the natural world, participate in research opportunities and enjoy hands-on activities. This free program takes place each month at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center, and covers a different nature topic. No registration is necessary.
