City asked to authorize Sept. 11 parade for law enforcement
1-Tribune

Joseph Trimmer and Sherry Axman have asked the Great Bend City Council to authorize a Sept. 11 parade for local law enforcement. This request is on the agenda for the next council meeting, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the council chambers at the City Office.
Other items on the agenda include the proposed facility lease at Veterans Memorial Park with the Great Bend Boom for the 2017 season; a request to have summer baseball team play at Veterans Memorial Park in 2017; one-day cereal malt beverage license at the Expo for the F&E Collector Auto Auction on Oct. 8; and a supplemental agreement for water system improvements project engineering.
The council is also expected to accept the low bid for the 2016 KLINK Project, subject to approval by the Kansas Department of Transportation, for microsurfacing on Main Street from 10th to 19th. The bid was $234,065 from Vance Brothers Inc. and KDOT will pay 50 percent.
