The Great Bend City Band will be performing at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday night at the city band shell. A special 16 piece jazz band concert will be presented at 8:15 p.m. Friday, at the band shell. Twelve classic jazz band selections will be presented. In case of inclement weather, these concerts will be moved indoors to the Crest Theatre.
The 4th of July concert will kick off the Crest Theatre July concerts and will begin at 7:30 pm. This concert will feature many patriotic selections including special narratives with the city band by Vern Fryberger, Director of Choral Activities at Barton Community College. Veterans of the Armed Forces will be honored also.
The July 11th and 16th concerts will begin at 8:15 p.m. The city band and jazz band will be featured at the July 16th concert.
All concerts are free and open to the public.
