The Great Bend City Council will receive a recommendation from its Economic Development Committee on how the city conducts economic activities, during the meeting that starts at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the City Administration Building.

Other items on the agenda include the 2018 audit report; conditional use permit for the house at 2206 27th St. to be used for an Air BnB; an amendment to the zoning ordinance to allow above-ground storage of propane, requested by F&L Rentals, doing business as Harper Camperland; a related propane storage tank ordinance if the zoning request passes; and a conditional use permit for Harper Camperland if that passes.

Another rezoning request on the agenda comes from Randy and Debbie Deutsch, who have entered an agreement to purchase real estate in the three-mile radius of Great Bend. If rezoned, the purchasers will use the site as a business for Distinctive Draperies and as a wedding venue.

Other items: sale of city real estate, Phase 1 Amber Meadows Groundwater Study information, waterline replacements change order and a bid for City Connecting Link Improvement Program (CCLIP) resurfacing improvements.
