Work on the City of Great Bend’s installation of an automated meter infracture for water meters continues. Public Works Director Jason Cauley said contractors will be moving to do work in Cycle 2 starting this week.

“We are waiting on inventory for the smaller (5/8 inch) residential meters,” Cauley said. “Once the shipment comes, they will finish Cycle 1. To keep progress moving they will be installing 1-inch meters in Cycle 2.”

Cauley thanked residents for their patience as crews work to make improvements.
