City will burn tree pile starting today
tree burning

The City of Great Bend announced Wednesday morning that the burning the tree pile at the composite will begin today. Work could last up to a week as officials take advantage of the current wind conditions.

The burn area will be monitored by city staff 24 hours a day. The city appreciates the patience of the public while this work is performed, and it is likely if the wind is right that one might smell or see the smoke.
