Claflin library hosting summer reading program

CLAFLIN – The Independent Township Library in Claflin is hosting its summer reading program. It will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays through June for preschool to sixth grade at the Claflin Community Center, 409 A St. The program is entitled “Peace, Love & Libraries,” with an emphasis on kindness. 

Activities will include reading logs, story and music time, special projects, take-home treats, crafts and special presentations.

These presentations include:

• June 6 – Beau Hekele will have a presentation about his bees.

• June 13 – sidewalk chalk kindness messages with Carrie Radenberg.

• June 20 – Bob Dole Centennial Memorial artwork squares.

• June 27 – kindness bags for the homeless.
