The Cliff and Nina Fell Foundation and Trust announced its 2023 scholarship recipients. 

They are: Dylan Mawhirter, son of Aaron Mawhirter and Megan Mawhirter; Ethan Lemuz, son of Nathan Lemuz and Christy Lemuz; Sarah Manry, the daughter of Robert Manry and Jenny Manry; and Easton Fitzpatrick, the son of Garet Fitzpatrick and Jennifer Fitzpatrick.

Scholarships are awarded by a screening committee and are based on a combination of academic records and references. College admission test scores are an important factor also. 

The scholarships were created by Cliff and Nina Fell as part of their estate planning. The scholarship foundation came into being at the death of Nina Fell in 1994 and since that time has been giving scholarships to Pawnee County high school seniors. Each recipient for 2023 receives a $2,500, non-renewable scholarship.
