College to feature Library Lovers Month

The Barton Community College Library will celebrate “Library Lovers Month” in February by featuring a unique event each week including special library-wide themes, creative book displays, a Facebook promotion and a scavenger hunt. Events are open to students, faculty, staff and community members.
Each week in February will have a book lovers’ theme: Books Made Into Movies; Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover; Celebrate Your Love of Reading; and Fall in LOVE with the Barton Library.”
People can stop by the library each week, on Feb. 2, 13, 20 and 27, for a Q & A Prize Drawing. Answer the question of the week to be entered in a prize drawing.
A Facebook promotion will be held on Feb. 15. Participants will post a favorite book or author they love to read to the Barton Library’s Facebook page. Entrants will be eligible to win a wireless speaker and gift card.
The Feb. 23 scavenger hunt will provide an opportunity to explore the Barton Library. There will be free Valentine’s candy for those who participate.
