The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The meeting will be open to the public but will also be streamed live due to COVID-19. It will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously.

Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) grant application.

The agenda includes establishing commission districts for Barton County, refilling the Independent Township clerk’s position, a departmental update from County Attorney Levi Morris and bulk mailing of valuation notices by the Appraiser’s Office.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, at the Great Bend Events Center, 3111 10th St., and the meeting will be open to the public.

But, due to COVID-19, one can also view the meetings on Access TV via Cox Cable Channel 20 or live online at www.facebook.com/gbcitycouncil/. The meeting will be recorded.

The agenda includes township fire coverage contracts, the replacement of trucks for Public Works and the appointment of Jason Cauley as the public works director.
