The renewal of contracts for 2011-12 will be on the agenda when the Barton Community College Board of Trustees meets at 4 p.m. Thursday in room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building on campus.

Before renewing contracts for faculty, head coaches, management staff, the vice president and deans, the board is scheduled to go into executive session for discussion of personnel. The board will also address contract considerations for the college president, who has a multi-year contract.

Other action items on Thursday’s agenda include adopting the Barton County Multijurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan; approving the hiring of Terri Mebane as Director of Military Programs for the Fort Riley area; changing the name of the Mobile Intensive Care Technician (MICT) degree to Paramedic; and approving the curricula for the automotive program and corrections program, to align with the latest Kansas Board of Regents requirements.

The monthly monitoring report will be on students’ work preparedness, and Criminal Justice instructor Randy Smith will introduce guests from area law enforcement agencies, and facilitate their discussion with the board concerning course needs for their field.
