County Commission, City Council meet Monday

 The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The agenda includes the local recycling grant, the purchase of a new vehicle for the Appraiser’s Office and a lease agreement with Brad Demel for land near Susank that is used for a 911 telecommunications tower.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the City Office, 1209 Williams.The agenda includes a report on the 2016 city audit, a public hearing for unsafe and dangerous properties at 417 and 422 Walnut, and an executive session for matters “deemed privileged in the attorney-client relationship.”
