An Albert man was injured in a crash when his vehicle left the road way on Thursday at 11:58 a.m. in the 700 block of West Barton County Road.

An Albert man was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital after the pickup he was driving went off West Barton County Road, Sheriff Brian Bellendir said. Randy L. Miller sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
Barton County Sheriff’s officers responded to the crash in the 700 block of West Barton County Road at 11:58 a.m. on Thursday. A gold, 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup operated by Miller left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The truck struck a field drive and became airborne. It then struck a utility pole, breaking it off, and continued east in the ditch where it finally came to rest.
“The Sheriff’s office is still investigating as to why the vehicle left the road,” Bellendir said Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by Great Bend Fire and EMS units.
