RUSSELL — The Deines Cultural Center will hold a Membership Gala from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20. The evening will include multi-media art, food and music by The Believers, a local band, and Patricia Davis, playing piano selections, including vocals. Admission is free.
The exhibition for the season, “Storytelling,” will feature artwork by Archie Oliver, Robin Valenzuela, Karen Holiday, Kent Williams, Rose Dudek and Alice Young. The art is mixed media, including paintings and ceramics.
Those who sign up as a 2016 Friends of the Deines member will be included in a raffle for art pieces designed and created by Dustin Poche, Russell sculptor whose work has received international recognition.
The exhibition will show from Nov. 20 through Jan. 8. The Deines Cultural Center is located at 820 North Main in Russell.
