The dog swim at the Larned City Pool is back. After a ruff year, the dog swim has come howling back to Larned. From 4-6 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 15, you can bring you furry friends for a refreshing dip in the city pool as city staff prepares to close it for the season. Fee is $5 per dog; humans get in for free.
Members of the humane society will also be in attendance to offer microchips for pets for only $10. If your four-legged family members ever wander off you can be reunited quickly.
In addition, pulled pork sandwiches and roasted corn will be available for sale during the swim for the hungry human attendees. All proceeds will benefit the Pawnee County Humane Society and its mission to provide food, shelter and care for the animals of Pawnee County as they wait to find the forever home they have been dreaming of.
