‘Life for Life: Maximilian Kolbe’ is next in Movies with a Message series
On Friday March 11, the movie “Life for Life: Maximilian Kolbe” will be showing at the Heartland Center for Spirituality for the winter series of “Movies with a Message.”
This movie tells the story of Catholic saint Maximilian Kolbe (1894-1941), who volunteered to die in place of a stranger in the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz.
The movie begins at 6:15 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, 3600 Broadway Ave. Other movies in the series include “The Soloist” (Tuesday, April 12) and “Secretariat” (Tuesday, May 17). A freewill offering will be accepted to offset the cost of refreshments.
Viewers must be vaccinated to attend; masks are appreciated.
