Easter Basket workshop set for Saturday at the library
1-Tribune

The Rosewood Miracle Workers Aktion Club will host a “Hippity Hop Easter Basket Workshop” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St. Children will be able to create an Easter basket filled with surprises. There will be egg decorating, coloring and other activities, and children can meet the Easter Bunny.
There is a recommended donation of $5 per basket to cover the cost of materials. This is a drop-in event.
This event was held for the first time in 2017, when dozens of children stopped by the library to create their own Easter baskets. Frankie Pelster, sponsor of the Rosewood Miracle Workers, noted that the workshop is a good lead-in to the Kiwanis Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, which will take place on Saturday, March 31. “This way they’ll have a basket to take to the Easter Egg Hunt,” she said.
Rosewood Aktion Club is an affiliate of the Kiwanis Club. Nationally, Aktion Clubs promote service in action for people with developmental disabilities. The club allows clients of Rosewood Services to be actively involved in the community and to positively impact the lives of others, Pelster said.
