Barton honors 15 employees for service milestones

Barton Community College honored 15 employees during an all-college forum August 24, recognizing them for their years of service to the college. Awards were presented for 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service.
Art Instructor Steve Dudek was recognized for an impressive 35 years of service to Barton.
Next was Auto Mechanic Ghazi Jahay with 30 years.
Coordinator of Facilities Management Jim Ireland and Director of Grants Cathie Oshiro were both noted at the forum for spending 25 years of their careers with Barton.
At the 20-year landmark was Director of Financial Aid Myrna Perkins and Coordinator of Microsoft Applications Renee Demel.
Nursing Instructor Louise Masden started working for Barton 10 years ago, along with Instructor and Coordinator of Business and Accounting Kathy Boeger and Lead Care Provider at the Child Development Center Paula Hinds.
Six employees were noted for five years of service, including Assistant Athletic Trainer Jason Parks, Track and Cross Country Coach Dave Schenek, Chemistry Instructor Guy Causey, Assistant Director of Nursing Jane Youngers, Softball Coach Heather Panning and Customer Service Representative Sheryl Elliott.
