LINDSBORG — Bethany College honored 116 students May 19 who earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from the college during the 2012-2013 academic year.
Summer, fall, interterm, and spring graduates participated in baccalaureate worship and commencement ceremonies on campus.
Area graduates, the hometowns and majors, included:
Amy N. Klatt, Ellinwood, biology, chemistry, cum laude; Sarah Anne Peterson, Garfield, English, magna cum laude; Emily Jane Bowen, Larned, English teaching 6-12, music, magna cum laude; and Adam James Bradley Hutchison, from Russell, biology, magna cum laude.
The Rev. Brian Maas, bishop of the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA, preached during baccalaureate. “Living Lutheran is about being and honest and humble in the world,” he said. “Confront the world with questions and ask, what does this mean, what does this mean for me, and what do I mean for this?”
