On May 17, Bethany College honored 119 students who earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Music Education from the college during the 2014-2015 academic year.
Summer, fall, interterm, and spring graduates from 2014-2015 were honored during baccalaureate worship and commencement ceremonies on campus.
Randy W. Berry, the first-ever Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBT Persons and former Bethany College board member, addressed the graduating class of 2015 during the commencement ceremony. The Reverend Allen D. Smith, pastor of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas, preached during baccalaureate worship.
Melissa Woeppel an English and communications major with a minor in religion from Firth, Neb., was the senior speaker and Ashley Glover, a vocal music education major from Emporia was the senior musician performing a vocal solo.
Local graduate was Michael J. Hlavaty, Olmitz, Athletic Training, Summa Cum Laude
