The Great Bend High School forensics team competed at the state champs tournament in Valley Center on Saturday, May 6. The students placed 11th out of 30 5A schools.
Students placing individually were Ashtin Heath, who took 7th in dramatic interpretation, and Madison Jones and Donovan Paden, who took 9th in duet acting.
“Since I am a senior, this was my last tournament with my whole team,” Heath said. “I will miss them a lot. I am very grateful for the opportunities that forensics has given me.”
Aaron Miller and Ashtin Heath will finish out their forensics careers competing at nationals in Birmingham Alabama this June.
