Central Plains High School: Breanna Holmes, a 2014 Central Plains High School graduate, accepted a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in biological sciences and an $800 Hays City Silver Academic Award. Holmes, daughter of Toby and Sheri Holmes, Claflin, plans a career in medicine.
Ellinwood High School: Hannah Billinger, a 2014 Ellinwood High School graduate, accepted an $800 Hays City Silver Academic Award. Billinger, daughter of Steven and Lora Billinger, Ellinwood, plans to major in history education.
Michelle Miller, a 2011 Ellinwood High School graduate and an FHSU junior, accepted a $1,000 Alan Fullbright Memorial Scholarship. Miller, daughter of Steve and Kim Miller, plans to major in elementary education.
Great Bend High School: Amy Christopher, a 2013 Great Bend High School graduate, accepted a $700 Fort Hays Bronze Academic Award. Christopher, daughter of Rick Christopher, and Alina Hinson, both of Great Bend, plans to major in radiologic technology.
Bryce Beck, a 2014 Great Bend High School graduate, accepted a $500 Copper Academic Award. Beck is the son of Randy and Daphne Beck, Great Bend.
Derion Burnside, a 2014 Great Bend High School graduate, accepted a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Burnside, son of Candie Baldwin, Great Bend, plans to major in marketing.
