Holy Family School had a “Dress Down Day for a Cause” in April and the “Cause” was Kans for Kids. Students were allowed to dress out of their uniform for one day by either donating $1 or bringing in aluminum cans for Kans for Kids. The Kans for Kids trailer sat in the school parking lot for over a week and the school and parish was encouraged to donate their cans. Several trailers full of cans and a little over $500 was donated to this great organization. In the process, Lauren Miller and Suzanna Schneider decided to have birthday parties and instead of asking their friends for present for them, they asked for donations to Kans for Kids. They celebrated their birthday parties on separate occasions, but were recognized recently at the school for their very generous efforts.
