Chance Kurtz was named the 2014 Mulvane High School senior class salutatorian. Kurtz attended school in Great Bend from second through eighth grade.
While attending Mulvane High School Kurtz was a member of the National Honor Society, KAY, Skills USA, Board member for the Rowdy Crowd, lettered in wrestling and golf, competed as a professional AMA flat track racer, was named Student Choice Extreme Sport Athlete and honored as a Governor’s Scholar. He will be attending K-State in the Fall pursuing  a degree in engineering.
He is the son of Mike and Pamela Kurtz of Maize. The Grandson of Larry and Jenny Kurtz and Raymond and Teresa all of Great Bend.
