EHS returns to its roots for annual production
“You’re a Good Man” will prompt toe tapping and reminiscing

ELLINWOOD — For its 47th consecutive fall musical, Ellinwood High School is staging the show that started it all. 

“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” was the first musical presented at EHS in 1973 and was selected again for this year’s production. The show, directed by Ellinwood Grade School vocal music instructor Stephanie Goering, Is a local crowd favorite.

Performances are scheduled Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 pm in the EHS Auditorium. 

Based on the beloved comic strip Peanuts by Charles Schulz, the show features everyman Charlie Brown (Caden Rowan) and his beagle Snoopy (Cole Ringwald). 

The revue of vignettes and songs also includes familiar characters like Lucy (Erin Hammeke), Linus (Brook Degenhardt), Schroeder (Aiden Ricker), and Sally (Haley Troyer.) 

The show’s chorus includes Katie Birzer, Matthew Cook, Daphne Doll, Cooper Gunn, Grace Hoskins, Lily Hoskins, Grant Klepper, Presten McCord, Brayden Robl, Taryn Robl, Kiley Troyer, and Hannah Winget. 

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets are available at the door or from cast members and are also on sale now at the Ellinwood School-Community Library and Community Bank of the Midwest.
