Multiple candidate filings have necessitated a scheduled primary for Ward 2 of the Great Bend City Council, noted the Barton County Clerk’s office. The ward has a four-way race vying for the position occupied by Jolene Biggs, who is not seeking re-election. Stephen Patton, Suresh Bahadur-Maharjan, Charlie Dixon and Jay Luerman are seeking their first elected council seat.
