The Ellinwood Chamber Coffee was held at Ellinwood School/Community Library on November 21st. Mary Jeroue was the guest of honor. FBLA shared stories with the group about their leadership conference in Minneapolis, Minn. They also created posters to promote staying at home to shop for Christmas.
Highlights of this fall at the library include: Story Time, involving 14 children on Thursdays and nine children on Fridays and Inter Library Loan with approximately 75 books being circulated in and out of the library. The Discovery Bags that Sharon Sturgis put together this summer are a big hit among grade school aged students. Sharon also received a grant for the library to purchase a gaming system, and the Wii U is being checked out within the district, and may also be used by community groups, if they use it within the district, and with a district staff person. The library will be participating in Christkindle Market by hosting a Story Walk around the community on Dec. 6th. Paintings were given away as door prizes.
