Ellinwood June Jaunt events

The annual K-96 June Jaunt takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in cities from Tribune to Ellinwood. It’s a chance to experience authentic rural America at it’s best.
Events for each community can be found on the website k96junejaunt.com.

Here are some of the events scheduled for Ellinwood:
Friday, June 3
11 a.m., 1 & 3 p.m.: Historic Underground World Group Tours
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Cold Stone Ice Cream, Historic Wolf Hotel
6 p.m.: Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. Advance tickets required. Call 620-564-3300 or 566-7353
8:30 p.m. (approximate): Movie on the Lawn, EHS Lawn, sponsored by the Ellinwood School/Community Library.

Saturday, June 4
7:30 a.m.: Registration, Rotary Family 5K Color Run/Walk, City Park. Starts at 8 a.m.
9 a.m.: Junk in the Trunk, Wolf Park
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Outdoor Market, Wolf Park
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Kids Creative Craft Corner, Wolf Park
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, Wolf Park
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Classic Car Show, High School Parking Lot
11 a.m., 1 & 3 p.m.: Historic Underground World Group Tours
Noon to 4 p.m.: Small Batch Beer Tasting, North of Minnis Chapel, hosted by American Legion Post #320
Noon to 4 p.m.: Cold Stone Ice Cream, Historic Wolf Hotel
4:30 p.m.: S.P.O.O.K.S. Premiere of “True Ghost Stories” featuring the Ellinwood Undergound World, Hostoric Wolf Hotel
Additional Events: Kansas Pilots Association Fly-In at Ellinwood Airport; Kansas Wetlands Education Center Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, June 5
11 a.m., 1 & 3 p.m.: Historic Underground World Group Tours
3 p.m.: Ellinwood Community Historical Society Presents The History of Main Street by Robert Yarmer. First block of Main Street north of stop light.
