ELLINWOOD – The Ellinwood community came together in full force to support the annual Stuff the Bus campaign, a collaborative effort aimed at collecting essential school supplies for local educational institutions and community centers. The campaign, organized by United Way of Central Kansas, concluded with the distribution of collected supplies to several deserving organizations.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity and community spirit displayed by Ellinwood’s residents, the Stuff the Bus campaign yielded an overwhelming collection of school supplies,” said Becca Maxwell, UWCK president. The donated items ranged from notebooks and pencils to backpacks and art materials, all of which will contribute significantly to the academic and personal growth of students across the area.
“The distribution of the collected supplies was a heartwarming event, exemplifying the unity and support that define Ellinwood,” she said. Benefiting institutions included St. Joseph School, Children’s Development Center, Ellinwood Grade School, Ellinwood Middle School and High Schools, and the Ellinwood Senior Center.
Representatives from each organization expressed their gratitude for the community’s dedication to nurturing education and fostering a conducive environment for learning.
“The success of this year’s Stuff the Bus campaign reflects the compassion and commitment of Ellinwood’s residents,” Maxwell said. We are thrilled to see the positive impact of our collective efforts on the local education community. The Stuff the Bus campaign not only contributes to the academic journey of students but also strengthens the bond between Ellinwood’s residents and their shared goals. The organizers extend their heartfelt appreciation to all individuals, businesses, and organizations that participated in this meaningful initiative.”
