On Monday, April 13, the Barton County Environmental Management Office will relocate to Suite 208 in the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main, Great Bend. The office will not be open to the public that day.

“We are being moved to the office that the previous County Engineer used on the second floor of the courthouse,” said Judy Goreham, Emergency Management director. All phone numbers and email addresses will stay the same.

At present, the office is located three blocks north of the courthouse in the Juvenile Services/Community Corrections Building at 12th and Baker.

Duties for this department include environmental code enforcement, fireworks permitting, floodplain management, nuisance code and zoning management. More information is available at the county website, www.bartoncounty.org.
