Items are set up for Saturday’s free garage sale at Foundry Methodist Church. Doors open at 8 a.m.

Foundry Methodist Church, 5401 Broadway Ave., will host its annual Free Garage Sale on Saturday, May 18 from 8-11 a.m. The public is welcome to “shop” the wide variety of quality items that are donated each year.

Goods typically available at the sale include clothing for men, women and children; furniture; housewares; books; holiday decorations; toys and much more.  All items are given away for free and no donations are necessary.

The members of Foundry give these things at no cost as a testament to the free gift of salvation that is extended to all people through Jesus Christ.

“We pray that the community will be blessed by the items they receive from this sale and will give thanks to God for providing them,” said Pastor Aaron Withrow.

The event will begin promptly at 8 a.m. with a word of prayer led by Pastor Withrow. Then shoppers will be allowed into the sale through the north gym doors. Members of the church will be available during the sale to provide sacks and boxes, to assist in carrying heavy items and to take prayer requests. The Gideons will also have Bibles in English and Spanish available for the taking at this event.
