After much consideration, Toby’s Amusement has notified the Barton County Fair Association that they will not be coming to the Barton County Fair this year, fair officials announced Monday.

The Fair Association was notified this past weekend that due to the upswing in COVID-19 cases through out the Midwest and consideration of the safety of the public, it was the best decision for the carnival not to make the trip this year.

“Even though we are disappointed about their decision, we know it is the best for our community and those involved in this entertainment industry,” said Charles Atkinson, president of the Fair Association.
