First Christian Church, 5230 Broadway Ave., will start a new sermon series on Sunday, July 7. “At the Movies: Superhero Edition,” explores how your favorite superheros relate to the Gospel. The public is invited to join the congregation each Sunday for worship, an inspiring word, and fellowship for the whole family.

Early service is at 8:15 a.m., traditional service at 10:20 and a modern service at 11 a.m. at “The Refuge.” There are Sunday school classes for all ages at 9 a.m. and for pre-K through fifth grade at 10 a.m. There is also free childcare for infants and toddlers through age 3 and a children’s service for school-age kids.

Don’t forget to stop by the Fair Trade coffee bar (with fresh popcorn) at The Refuge before the service starts.
