A few spaces remain in the upcoming ServSafe Food Handlers Workshop, said Donna Krug, Cottonwood Extension District Family and Consumer Science Agent. The workshop is set from 1-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2. A preregistration of $15 payable to the Cottonwood Extension District, 3007 10th St., is due by Oct. 26 to hold a spot. The fee covers a food safety manual and snacks.

“Whether you are an occasional food handler at your church soup supper or if it is part of your vocation, safe food handling practices are important,” Krug said. A certificate of completion will be given to each participant.
