Fort Larned National Historic Site will be closing the park’s rest area on K-156 for the winter, from Dec. 1, 2019 to March 1, 2020.

According to William Chapman, Fort Larned facility manager, “Closing this restroom for winter months saves significant energy through the winter. Signs will direct visitors to alternative restroom facilities at the park’s visitor parking lot and in the Visitor Center.” The museum, historic buildings, and park grounds are free and open to visit daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
