The next ASK seminar for senior citizens will shed new light on hospice programs in the area, said Donna Baugh, director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Central Kansas. The “Nuts and Bolts of Hospice” is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.
RSVP and Angels Care Home Health host the series, Answers for Senior Kansans. Its goal is to provide information about all the services available through the whole continuum of care, beginning when a person needs just a little extra help through the end of life, and how to pay for the services when needed.
Donita Wolfe with Golden Home Health and Hospice and Jan Westfall with Hospice Care of Kansas will be the presenters at Wednesday’s program.
“Everyone knows that hospice care is available at the very end of life, but there are additional benefits available,” Baugh said. “Come to learn about local options for this important service.”
