GBCT showing ‘Happy Birthday, Dear Grandpa’

Great Bend Community Theatre’s latest production, “Happy Birthday, Dear Grandpa,” opens Feb. 26 at the Crest Theater, 1905 Lakin Ave.

“Chad made his debut with us recently as Speed in our performance of “The Odd Couple.” He really enjoyed the camaraderie of that show and decided to join us for a second! When he isn’t on stage showing off his fabulous acting skills, he’s busy playing in the dirt, or fixing up classic cars. 

“Bob is joining us on stage for the first time! Being semi-retired, he enjoys woodworking, video games, and movies ... lots of movies! You may remember seeing him during our 75th Anniversary Celebration, as his father owned and operated the movie theater prior to The Crest becoming GBCT’s home. Although his character’s appearances on stage are brief, he says he’s had fun during his first show experience!”

Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26-28, and there will be a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, March 1. The box office will open an hour early for ticket sales. Tickets can also be purchased online at https://www.gbct.net/its-showtime.
