GBHS Band Soloists, Small Ensembles present contest selections

Great Bend High School instrumental students will present their solo and small ensemble contest selections at 7 p.m. on Monday in the GBHS Band Room (#190).
Soloists include: Shenay Lee and Kaia Parks, flute; Anna Frizell, Maycie Hestand, Taylor Dougherty, Kaitlin Adams, Daniela Astrain, clarinet; Eric Vazquez, bass clarinet; Michael Raymer, Jordan Otten, Robert Frizell, alto saxophone; Santiago Talamantes, Ozioma Ofoma, tenor saxophone; Ben Die, trumpet; Allison Regehr, French horn;  Michelle Rooney, Andrew Curtright, euphonium; Kayn Milholland, tuba; Maxwell McGilber, snare drum; and Dorian Lueth, viola.
Ensembles playing and their members are: Mixed Brass Trio: Ben Diel, Aaron Schultz, Andrew Curtright; Varsity Clarinet Trio: Anna Frizell, Maycie Hestand, Kaitlin Adams; Saxophone Trio: Santiago Talamantes, Andrew Reed, Eric Vazquez; Brass Sextet: Ben Diel, Aaron Schultz, Allison Regehr, Aubrey Maneth, Michelle Rooney, Kayn Milholland; Percussion Quintet: Aron Vainer, Caleb Klein, Dylan Vsetecka, Maxwell McGilber, Trevor Schwager; and Freshman Woodwind Trio: Shenay Lee, Kaia Parks, Daniela Astrain.
Mr. Mark DeWald is the band instructor, and he is assisted by Mr. Austin Russell; Mrs. Marlene Regehr is accompanist for the soloists. Mr. Isaac Enochs is the orchestra instructor.
The public is invited to hear these fine young musicians as they prepare for the Regional Music Festival on April 11 at Barton County Community College. There is no admission fee for Monday’s performance or at the Regional Festival.
