GBHS bands to present concerts on Monday

Great Bend High School band directors said the GBHS Jazz, Junior Varsity and Varsity Bands will offer season’s greetings to everyone when they perform at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the GBHS Gym.
The jazz band will kick off its concert with “Now Rock, Ye Rested Gentlemen,” followed by “I’ll be Home for Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Big Band Christmas.” The Junior Varsity Band will play “Celebrate the Season,” “A Still, Silent Night” and “Season’s Greetings.” Varsity Band pieces are “C’est Noel,” “A Holst Christmas,” selections from “The Nutcracker” and “Feliz Navidad.” The two bands will unite for “Salute to Freedom,” “America on Parade” and “Salute to America’s Finest.” These groups are directed by Mark DeWald and assisted by Austin Russell.
The concerts are free to the public and everyone is urged to attend to get in the holiday spirit!
